Queridos todos,
El 26 de julio más de 600 representantes del ministerio estudiantil de IFES alrededor del mundo se reunirán en Cracovia, Polonia, para la próxima Asamblea Mundial de IFES. ¡Necesitamos vuestras oraciones!

También es el director de programa para la Asamblea Mundial de IFES 2011.
Orad por:
• Los visados: especialmente de aquellos que han sido invitados a través de Alemania; por aquellos para quien la AM será una experiencia particularmente importante.
• Exposiciones bíblicas: que Dios hable poderosamente a través de su Palabra.
• Comunidad y unidad en Cristo, especialmente para aquellos que provienen de zonas conflictivas en Oriente Medio e Israel.
• Guardar la perspectiva en medio de muchos pequeños detalles que ¡todavía necesitan ser resueltos!
Ewa Pieszka, Secretaria General de ChSA Polonia
Ewa y ChSA Poland serán ¡nuestros anfitriones! Ewa dice: Para ChSA será un gran honor ser el anfitrión de este encuentro y poder ver a hermanos y hermanas de todo el mundo en nuestro país rindiendo homenaje a aquellos estudiantes que comenzaron el movimiento pionero de IFES en Europa del Este. Para ChSA será de gran ánimo pasar tiempo con otros grupos de IFES y escuchar la historia tan diferente que tiene cada uno.
Orad por:
• Todo el equipo que está trabando duro en todos los aspectos logísticos del evento: viajes; hospedaje; comidas, auditorio, y un largo etcétera.
El Comité General
El Comité General (CG) es el órgano de gobierno de IFES. El CG se reúne durante la Asamblea Mundial cada cuatro años.
Orad por:
• El Comité Ejecutivo Internacional que será escogido para servir para los próximos cuatro años. Dad gracias que por la primera vez en la historia tendremos a dos estudiantes en el CEI.
• Discusiones buenas y constructivas sobre los informes principales: el Presidente; el Secretario General y el Tesorero.
• Que la adopción de la visión de Piedras Vivas sea fortalecida en toda la Comunidad y que los participantes vuelvan a casa con renovado entusiasmo y visión.
Andy Moore está cubriendo el puesto de Director de Comunicación Mundial en la Oficina Internacional de IFES
Él y el equipo de Comunicación Mundial estarán ayudando a la Comunidad y apoyos a participar de la AM’11; desde recoger y compartir historias de todo el mundo, a compartir recursos de los eventos y facilitar conversaciones y discusiones online. Queremos que la AM’11 sea una evento significativo también para aquellos que no pueden estar físicamente presentes en Polonia.
Orad por:
• Energía y gracia.
• Que podamos hacer un buen uso de la tecnología para construir un verdadero sentido de comunidad.
• El Foro de Ministerios y la Sesión Plenaria sobre el tema de los nuevos medias y redes sociales.
Tom, Secretario General de Ichtus Bélgica, mencionado en mi última carta de oración.
Espero ser impactado al escuchar lo que Dios está haciendo en medio de estudiantes y países del mundo entero. Escuchar buena enseñanza; encontrarme con viejos amigos y hacer nuevos. Tengo un interés especial en oír muchas historias, ¡marcan!
Orad por:
• Buen viaje para mí, la delegación y todas las obras de arte para el Departamento de Arte.
• Que la delegación belga pueda encontrarse con las personas que necesitan encontrarse: ministerio con estudiantes internacionales, con estudiantes de instituto; obreros de larga trayectoria; miembros de comités y estudiantes entusiastas. Y que puedan compartir con otros lo que tenemos para ofrecer.
• Que podamos ser inspirados para la obra estudiantil y el avance del Reino de Dios para los próximos años.
Espero que mis historias, y las historias de los demás, de lo que Dios ha hecho en las Universidades estos años, nos animen a seguir sirviéndole y a afirmar nuestro compromiso.
Orad por:
• Necesitamos tener al día todas nuestras responsabilidades antes de partir a la Asamblea (universidad, trabajo, etc.).
• Nuestro viaje será extremadamente largo. Que Dios nos lleve en su cuidado y nos ayude con cualquier contratiempo que pueda presentarse.
• A veces con venezolanos viajando a Europa se presentan algunos problemas en los aeropuertos, nos ven sospechosos y se han dado situaciones en las que retienen a las personas un buen tiempo y eso causa retrasos. Orad para que tengamos gracia.
Cátia, está acabando sus estudios en Portugal. La conocí en un encuentro de Formación de Líderes Estudiantiles de Europa.
Tengo muchas expectativas con la AM, principalmente porque quiero ver y oír lo que está ocurriendo en las universidades en el mundo entero, y poder compartir y aprender cosas buenas y difíciles que están ocurriendo, a fin de que podamos crecer y animarnos mutuamente.
Orad por:
• Tiempo para terminar todo lo que necesitamos en nuestros trabajos y escuelas para que podamos asistir a la Asamblea tranquilos. También por todos los preparativos de materiales y presentaciones de GBU Portugal.
• Que podamos realmente conocer a estudiantes y graduados durante la conferencia y que no estemos demasiado cansados o perezosos.
Quizás recordéis que también he estado bastante involucrada con los preparativos para la Asamblea. He liderado un equipo que ha pensado en todo el concepto para la AM de UniverCity, que también incluye los Foros de Ministerio. Estoy muy agradecida por Romina; Ricardo; Adrian; Tom L.; Tom D.; Jon H. y Steph S. ¡Son fabulosos! También estoy muy agradecida por Martin Haizmann que ha aguantado todas nuestras ideas locas y por el equipo de logística que todavía está tratando de lidiar con una buena implementación. Ha sido una increíble experiencia y también un desafiante nuevo aprendizaje. Ahora estoy esperando lo mejor: ¡verlo en vivo! Por favor orad para que la UniverCity sea un verdadero espacio de intercambio y aprendizaje los unos de con los otros. También orad por el Foro de Ministerio que voy a facilitar con Adrian el día 29 de Julio sobre: Comunicando a Jesús a través de la iniciativa estudiantil. Dear all,
On 26 July, more than 600 representatives of IFES student ministry around the world will convene in Krakow, Poland, for the next IFES World Assembly. We need your prayers!
Martin Haizmann, Regional Secretary.
He is also the IFES World Assembly 2011 Conference Director!
Pray for:
• Visas: especially those being invited through Germany; those for whom WA will be a particularly important experience.
• Bible expositions: that God speaks powerful to us all through his word.
• Fellowship and unity in Christ, especially for those coming from conflict areas like the Middle East or Israel.
• Keeping perspective in the midst of all the tiny details that need to be sorted out!
Ewa Pieszka, ChSA General Secretary
Ewa and ChSA Poland will be our hosts! Ewa says: It will be a great honour for ChSA to host this event, as a tribute to those students who 20 years ago pioneered an IFES movement in Eastern Europe. It will be a fantastic encouragement to ChSA to spend time with other IFES groups and hear about the colourful and diverse history each one owns.
Pray for:
• The whole team working hard with all the logistics elements of the conference: travelling, accommodation, catering, auditorium, and a long etc.
The General Committee
The General Committee (GC) is the governing body of IFES. The GC meets during the World Assembly every four years.
Pray for:
• The International Executive Committee that will be appointed to serve for the next four years. Give thanks that for the first time we will have two student IEC members.
• Good and constructive discussions of the three major reports: the Chair, General Secretary and Treasurer’s reports.
• That ownership of the Living Stones vision will be strengthened throughout the Fellowship and all participants will return home with renewed enthusiasm and vision.
Andy is Acting Head of Global Communications at the International Service Centre
He and the Global Communications team will be working to help the wider Fellowship and supporters engage with WA’11; from collecting and sharing stories from around the world, to sharing resources from the event and facilitating online conversation and discussion. We want WA’11 to be meaningful also to those who can't join us in Poland.
Pray for:
• Energy, grace and stamina.
• That we make good use of technology to build a sense of community.
• Me as I help facilitate two ministry forums, and a plenary session looking at new media and social networks.

I expect to be impressed by what God is doing in students and countries worldwide. To hear good teaching. Meet old friends and make new ones. I’m especially looking forward to hearing a lot of stories, they stick!
Pray for:
• Safe travel for me, our delegation and all the art for the Arts Department.
• That the Flemish delegation can meet the people they need (international student work, high school ministry, long time staffworkers, board members and enthusiastic students) and can share with others what we have to offer.
• That we may be inspired for student ministry and the advancement of God’s Kingdom for the years to come.
I hope that my stories, and the stories of others, of what God has done in the Universities in the past years, will encourage us to serve Him even more in the student context and to affirm our commitment.
Pray for:
• We need to leave everything ready before we go to WA’11 (university, work, etc.)
• Our travelling will be very long: that the Lord will care for us.
• That customs at the airports in Europe won’t be suspicious of the Venezuelan delegation and will not cause delays, etc.
Cátia, is a finishing student in Portugal. I met her at a Student Leadership Formación.
I'm looking forward to WA'11, mainly because I really want to see and hear about what’s happening in the universities around the world, and be able to share and learn good and also difficult things that are happening, so that we can grow together and encourage one another.
Pray for:
• Time to finish everything we need in our jobs and school so that we can go to the conference with a free mind. Also that we will be able to finish all the materials and presentation about GBU Portugal.
• That we are able to really get to know students and graduates during the conference and are not too tired or lazy.
As you may remember I have also being quite heavily involved with World Assembly. I have led a team that has thought through the whole concept of the WA’11 UniverCity, which also includes a whole range of Ministry Forums. I am deeply thankful for Romina; Ricardo; Adrian; Tom L.; Tom D.; Jon H. and Steph S. They are fabulous! I am also deeply thankful to Martin Haizmann who has coped with all our crazy ideas and for the logistics team who are still trying to implement as best a possible. It has been a really good experience and also a steep learning curve. I am now waiting for the best part: to see it live! Please pray that the UniverCity is a real space of sharing and learning from one another. Also pray for the Ministry Forum I will facilitate with Adrian on July 29th on Communicating Jesus Christ by releasing student initiative.
