Doy gracias a Dios.
Arrival to Buenos Aires
After many hours of flight and a delayed stop over in Sao Paolo I have arrived well to Buenos Aires! I thank God.
I was welcomed at the aiport by Stella Maris, General Secretary of ABUA Argentina with whom I had a good conversation in the ABUA offices. I also met there the ABUA Publishing House Certeza Committee that were meeting (Certeza means certainty) and also the Certeza Bookstore.
In the afternoon I had the opportunity to wonder around the streets of San Telmo until I arrived to the 1 of May square. I walked around the square, just like the women did not that many years ago, and tried to catch some of the suffering of these families. It continues to be a square for other demonstrations. As I was waiting for the staff workers to pick me up I was invited by a nice man for a drink (of course I did not go...) and was offered protection by one of the several homeless people around. Patricia y Jacquelina invited me to a "mate". The first of the many I imagine I will drink in the coming days. Mate is not only a drink. It means friendship, good company, good converdsations, relaxation, welcome.
This morning I have had the privilege to meet Alex at the Faculty of Medicine. Alex is one of our "silent heroes". He is trying to start a small group in his faculty. It is now several weeks that he meets with the staffworkers to pray and search for God´s leading and blessing. May the Lord proper him!
This afternoon we are off to Escobar where we will meet a starting group who are also our hosts for the regional gathering that start tomorrow.
Thanks for your prayers on our behalf.
Hmm... Somehow my first attempt didn't work. Will you have this twice?! Yay on the blog post and great to hear from you. Keeping on praying for you and for lots more mate. Hugs, S
