Los representantes de los movimientos nacionales de todo el mundo se están preparando para la Asamblea Mundial de IFES 2011, que tendrá lugar en Cracovia, Polonia, del 26 de julio al 3 de agosto. Gracias a este encuentro internacional la Comunidad entera podrá compartir y experimentar lo que Dios está haciendo en el ministerio estudiantil en todo el mundo, y planear juntos para el futuro.
La Asamblea Mundial es una oportunidad única para tener comunión y formación, no sólo para los participantes que han sido seleccionados cuidadosamente, sino también para los movimientos nacionales a los que representan. Para muchos países, especialmente aquellos en los que los cristianos son una pequeña minoría o son perseguidos, el valor de reunirse con otros que comparten las mismas luchas y sueños es inestimable.
El comité anfitrión de la Asamblea Mundial está trabajando duro para conseguir visados para todos los participantes de la Asamblea Mundial. Sin embargo muchos de nuestros hermanos y hermanas, especialmente de países africanos y otros menos desarrollados económicamente, tienen dificultades para obtener visados. Les pedimos que se unan a nosotros en oración para que el Dios de lo imposible abra puertas que están cerradas y ablande los corazones de los funcionarios en los consulados.
Otro reto para un encuentro como la Asamblea es el tema económico. IFES ofrece becas para permitir que muchos países envíen representantes, en las que no sería posible hacerlo sin estas becas, y además hay otras becas para animar a los estudiantes y permitir que estén bien representados. Oren para que tengan lugar muchas iniciativas para levantar fondos. Quizás quieran levantar fondos de alguna manera o contribuir con una beca para la Asamblea Mundial. Oren para que ahora y durante los próximos meses los participantes tengan tiempo para prepararse para las reuniones. Queremos que la Asamblea Mundial sea un tiempo en el que los participantes compartan retos y estrategias para implementar la visión de Piedras Vivas; un tiempo para juntar recursos y aprender unos de otros.
Creemos que la Asamblea Mundial 2011 va a ser un encuentro que cambiará la vida de todas las personas que van a participar y que la visión y las habilidades que se compartan se multiplicarán cuando los participantes vuelvan a casa. Oren con nosotros para que no haya problemas de visados o de viaje, de agitación política o problemas económicos que impidan que asistan los participantes.

Representatives from national movements around the world are preparing for the IFES World Assembly 2011, held in Krakow, Poland from 26 July - 3 August. This international event will enable the entire Fellowship to share and experience what God is doing in student ministry around the world, and to plan together for the future.
World Assembly is an invaluable opportunity for fellowship and equipping, not only for the carefully selected participants, but also for the national movements they represent. For many countries, especially where Christians are a small minority or where
followers of Christ are persecuted, the value of meeting with others to share struggles and dreams cannot be underestimated.
The World Assembly host committee is working hard to obtain visas for all World Assembly participants. However many of our brothers and sisters, especially from African and other less economically developed countries, experience difficulty obtaining visas. Will you join us in prayer for the God of the impossible to open closed doors and to soften the hearts of consular officials?
Another challenge for an event such as this is funding. IFES is offering scholarships to enable many countries to send representatives where costs would otherwise be prohibitive, with additional scholarships to encourage and enable students to be well represented. Please pray for the many fundraising initiatives taking place. Perhaps you would like to organise your own fundraising event, or contribute to a World Assembly scholarship. Please pray that now and in the days ahead, participants will have the time to prepare for the meetings. We want World Assembly to be a time when participants share challenges and strategies for implementing the Living Stones vision, a time to bring together resources and learn from one another.
We believe World Assembly 2011 will be a life-changing event for all who take part, and that the vision and skills shared will be multiplied many times over when participants return home. Please pray with us that attendance will not be hindered by visa or travel problems, by political unrest or financial difficulties.
