The disciples, warned by their friends, run to see the empty tomb!
He is not here, he is risen as he said!!!!!!!!!! He is alive!!!!!!
We meditate these amazing truth:
- Death is defeated - Christ has risen.
- Together we are sent as messengers of the risen Jesus.
- Face struggles, but God speaks into that BUT.
- Christ defeated the enemy.
- New hope.
- Easter does not have to do with the past but with presence and the future.
- Christ is risen, he is risen indeed.
We become brothers and sisters - new family - one Father. We partake together as to remember...
We are filled with new Joy.
And we continue to hear, meditate, listen and respond to Word of God as we meditate on the risen Jesus in John 1:
Book written to form belief. The biggest sign: the resurrection of
Jesus Christ. Our Christian faith is based on evidences. Faith is not a
religious concept. We always look for evidence so that we can base our faith.
Very dangerous to believe in things without evidence.
We are convinced intellectually because of evidence, but we also need
to meet him! We are convinced intellectually but also morally and emotionally.
It does not work to believe without the heart. Have I given Jesus my heart?
The resurrection is not created by faith, it is the basis of faith.
He has given evidence to all by raising him from the dead. People do
not normally raise from the dead. That is one reason it makes it special. It
happens in the power of God not because of the laws of nature.
Who is it that rose from the dead? In the beginning was the Word. The Word became human. The one who is
eternal. God was with God. Fellowship of God: it is not a Christian
formulation, it is the way God has revealed himself. Complex entity (aren’t we
complex too!? – but God even more!).
The world came to be, the universe came to be. God always was and the
Word came to be human.
If we are going to have the world listen to us we need to have both our
minds and our hearts full of who he is.
The best we have is Christ in our hearts and the Bible in our pockets.
Do we read it? Why do we read God’s word? To prepare talks? We read the Bible
to meet God. Wait upon the Lord until we see the face of the Lord, then we will
have something to say (Nigel Lee). Do we have anything to say? If we don’t, we need to wait upon God. We
will have moral authority not only intellectual, because it will be real for
us.
If this is really the Word of God, something is going to happen. If his is true, it must authenticate itself.
